With the mother of all wedding styling, Pamella Dunn, leading the team in this stunning location, you just know she'll leave her trail of sparkle throughout...
As a UK based wedding planner, 2018 is all about the outdoor weddings, and this summer we gathered a team of the best of the best wedding industry companies Yorkshire has to offer, and had one of our absolutely favourite kind of days. Together we created outdoor wedding magic to inspire and delight couples looking to marry at the stunning 365 year old Holdsworth House. This year sees the launch of this stunning wedding venue’s second outdoor wedding space, the first – The Colonnade Courtyard – has witnessed intimate outdoor marriage ceremonies since 2015. Now couples looking for larger outdoor weddings are in for a real treat as they can now tie the knot in a garden ceremony at Holdsworth House, as the newly sanctioned ‘Summer House’ provides a stunning backdrop for up to 120 guests.
International venue stylist and wedding planner Pamella Dunn and her team dressed the summerhouse with large-headed blooms – including peonies, roses and wild daisies – in an archway around its entrance. Folding, New England-style chairs were laid in uniform lines, creating a stunning aisle, which was dressed with ferns, candle-bearing lanterns and large ‘floating’ floral displays, to amplify the English country garden theme.
Dotty Taylor Bridal of Huddersfield and Brides to Be of Bradford dressed models Emily and Terence as the bride and groom. The bride’s off the shoulder, Pronovias ‘Davina’ dress is stocked by Dotty Taylor. The independent boutique also supplied a Pronovias Couture Atelier gown called ‘Rachel’, which was reminiscent of Meghan Markle’s famous wedding dress. The menswear, provided by Brides to Be, included a royal blue Peter Posh suit paired with a grey tweed waistcoat and pink silk tie.
CREATING THE ENGLISH ROSE LOOK
Bradford-based professional wedding make-up artist, Lauren of Bespoke Bridal Beauty kept a sheer coverage of MAC Face & Body Foundation with Tropic concealer blended out. To create a wonderfully fresh, dewy look this was mixed with Fenty liquid highlighter and set with MAC Mineralise shimmer. Eyes were kept minimal with a touch of Bobbi Brown liner for a structured lash line and luxury strip Prima lashes. Lips were fresh and rosy with Smashbox lipstick and a touch of highlighter to plump the lip line.
With the bride’s hair, Lauren opted to create a loose look but with a tight plaited bun to secure the veil.
To complete the theme, Ripponden-based cake designer – The Pretty Sugar Cake Company –created a four-tiered wedding cake complete with ultra-delicate, handcrafted sugar flowers. Noble Fine Art Stationery of North Yorkshire provided garden-inspired stationery whilst Yorkshire wedding photographer, Cream Photography, captured all the details in their beautiful trademark light and feelgood style.
